A: Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser is stable for a maximum of one year from the date of manufacture.
Q: What is the dilution rate for light duty general cleaning?
A: Add 1/2 oz (1 tbsp or 1 pump) Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser to 3 gallons of water for general cleaning. For heavier soils and grease, we recommend the use of Clorox Commercial Solutions® Formula 409® Cleaner Degreaser Disinfectant.
Q: The usage rate (dilution) instructions on the package refer to a pump. How can I obtain a pump for this product?
A: Portioning pumps designed for use with Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent &Degreaser can be obtained either by requesting one through your local distributor, or by calling 1-800-524-5133.
Q: Can I use diluted Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser to clean windows?
A: While a diluted Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser will effectively remove grease and soil from window surfaces, its formula is not optimized for glass cleaning and would require thorough rinsing to yield a streak-free surface. For best results, we recommend Clorox Commercial Solutions® Formula 409® Glass & Surface Cleaner (RTU) or Clorox Commercial Solutions® Formula 409® Glass & Surface Cleaner Concentrate for streak-free glass cleaning that minimizes the need for buffing or rework.
Q: Are the cleaning agents in Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser biodegradable?
A: Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser is formulated with biodegradable surfactants.
Q: Can Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser be mixed with Clorox® Regular-Bleach?
A: To sanitize dishes and other items being manually washed, or to sanitize/disinfect other surfaces, we recommend washing using Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser, followed by a clear water rinse, and then sanitizing or disinfecting with Clorox® Regular-Bleach according to package instructions. Clorox® Regular-Bleach should not be mixed directly with a Clorox Commercial Solutions® SOS® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser solution since harmful fumes may result. Also, the bleach will deactivate the cleaning agents.
Q: Does S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser contain phosphorus?
A: Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Pot & Pan Detergent & Degreaser contains no phosphorus.



Q: Can Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Steel Wool Soap Pads be used on dishes to remove coffee and tea stains?
A: Yes. Simply wet a pad and apply to stoneware, earthenware, and non-decorated porcelain mugs, cups, and saucers. Rinse clean with water.
Q: Can Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Steel Wool Soap Pads be used on stainless steel and aluminum cookware to remove baked-on grease?
A: Yes. S.O.S Simply wet a pad and clean the soiled surface. Once food particles and grease are loosened, rinse clean with water.
Q: Are Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Steel Wool Soap Pads safe to use on stainless steel and Formica® countertops?
A: Yes. Simply wet a pad and gently clean the soiled surface. Once food particles and grease are loosened, rinse clean with water.
Q: Do Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Steel Wool Soap Pads leave behind metal particles?
A: No, Clorox Commercial Solutions® S.O.S® Steel Wool Soap Pads do not leave behind metal particles because a special process is used to bind the metal together. However, as with any warewashing product, cookware should always be thoroughly rinsed before using to remove loosened food and soap residue.



Q: Do S.O.S® Scrubber Sponges contain any soap?
A: No. S.O.S® Scrubber Sponges don't contain soap or detergent.
Q: What's the difference between the Heavy Duty and All Purpose S.O.S® Scrubber sponges?
A: The Heavy Duty sponges have a more abrasive scrim to aid in soil removal. Both sponges are the same size.
Q: Can S.O.S® Scrubber Sponges be run through automated warewashing equipment to kill the growth of bacteria?
A: Yes. S.O.S® Scrubber Sponges can be run through automated warewashing equipment.
Q: What is the abrasive scrim material used on the S.O.S® Scrubber Sponges?
A: The material is a plastic similar to that used in artificial turf.
