A: The water used to make Clorox Commercial Solutions® Ultra Clorox® Germicidal Bleach is filtered to remove metals such as Ni, Cu, Fe, and Al, which can cause hypochlorite to decompose. Organic matter , which can react with hypochlorite, is also removed. The hallmark of Clorox Commercial Solutions® Ultra Clorox® Germicidal Bleach is that the water is purified. Purification of water does not affect label strength.
Q: How long can you hold prepared bleach disinfecting solutions and still have efficacy?
A: Bleach disinfecting solutions must be made fresh daily because they can quickly degrade based on pH or metal content of the water. Tap water can vary significantly in this regard.
